Cause marketing, or cause-related marketing, refers to a type of marketing involving the cooperative efforts of a for profit business and a non-profit organization for mutual benefit. The term is sometimes used more broadly to refer to any type of marketing effort for social and other charitable causes. Cause marketing differs from corporate giving (philanthropy) because it generally involves a specific donation that is tax deductible, while cause marketing is a marketing relationship not necessarily based on a donation.
Make sense? Forget it, it’s gobbledygook. In retrospect, our early efforts into the "cause" side of marketing (and giving back in general) could have been easily justified by following a typical corporate marketing mix and doing things that big corporations are supposed to do. But the reality is that it was never like that for us. MovieTickets.com wants to give back and participate in efforts and organizations that are having a positive impact on kids and helping those in need.
We’ve involved ourselves in various charities and efforts to commit our time, raise money or make donations whenever we can resonate with the source. While our participation is not limited to actions sports, our long standing relationships and current ongoing efforts are action sports-related.
